Hold da fast en tur, du har været på der.

Kender dig fra LKM, hvor vi begge var sommerfugle engang for 12-13 år siden. Jeg så dig i go’morgen danmark den anden aften og syntes jo nok, jeg havde set dig et eller andet sted før.

Jeg ville bare lige sige, at det er sku utrolig godt gået - både at cykle så langt og over så lang tid - men det ved du vel allerede:-) Jeg har set nogle af dine billeder og de er så fantastisk flotte, at du absolut må udgive dem en dag. Jeg skal nok købe et eksemplar:-)

it’s unbelievable, you really did it! Congrats to surviving your amazing bike tour I have followed your trip on your homepage during the last year and I really enjoyed your pics and diary entries. They helped me through my workaday life and remembered me that there is so much to see out there. I totally admire what you’ve achieved and I hope this is not the end of the story. Fantaktisk og inspirerende hjemmeside og hvilken drømmerejse…!

Utrolig flotte billeder, film og musik - og tak fordi du vil dele det med os. Jeg har selv været på cykelture down under med godt 5.000 km, men det virker jo blot som en tur til bageren sammenholdt med din tur. Jeg er dybt imponeret over den mentale styrke det må kræve at være på farten så længe.

Det har været svært at løsrive sig fra din hjemmeside og den vækker mange føleler - frihed, lev livet og verden er nu ikke så farlig som vi nogle gange gør den…

Jeg ser frem til foredrag eller en bog om dine oplevelser.

The photographs are great and tell a good story. There are some close ups that demonstrate that you took time to get to know where you were cycling through, as well as the panorama shots that show the journey, literally, in perspective.

OMFG POOR LITTLE DOG!!!!!! this made me cry and this is why im becoming a vet… to help this type of things. it looks like a bad case of mange with some fleas and it looks infected. if you let it sit too lonng it might not be able to be fixed i hope you brought it to the vet! no excuse not to!!!!!!!!! if it died RIP )’:

Hi Nicolai,

Now that I have plenty of time off the bike, following last Saturday night’s machete attack, it’s about time I sent a you a congratulatory message. Well done my cycle touring friend. We almost met in Morocco, but I could see the coastal/direct and for you un-cycled route through the country was the better choice.
It sounds like you’re going to be busy over the coming weeks and months. It was a challenge for me returning home after 3 years on the road. This followed being in Japan for 2 years. I felt a little lost and I spent most of the year before starting this current African adventure living in a tiny village in the countryside. I never felt fully rested, largely because I planned to be back on the road even before I’d arrived back in England. My journey set out from Japan as a World trip and I used that year in England to pause, plan, connect, and prepare for this African leg.
You have a tremendous resource in your website to continue the journey and document it in a book. Someday/somewhere I shall do this too. I look forward to keeping in contact and hearing from you over the coming months. Congratulations again, Peter (sat on sofa typing with one hand)

Dear Nicolai,

after finally having finished your ‚official’ WT-dream, I can’t hold back to express my admiration for everything in this connection !
Primary the trip itself, of course, but also the content and presentation of the WT-website seems really amazing to me !
Containing such a lot of marvellous stuff; all those phantastic photos, video spots, music sounds, diary entries, describtions of any kind etc. – Wow - regarding this, everything bears witness of good skills, a free mind, lucky hand and the right feeling in those matters !
From that moment of discovering your site, I was immediately fascinated from the whole idea and your very personal, attractive and likeable kind of giving people the chance to feel like being a part of it !
This whole thing is a real inspiration and should encourage all of us to get off our comfy couch onto the saddle and make some different experiences from our normal daily life ! (and by the way; must not necessarily be a world trip !)
By reading your story, some ideas and dreams, kept in the depth of my mind, have come up to the surface now.
I’m glad for you that all has come to a happy end and you’re reunited with family and friends finally, but realizing it’s really over now is also a little pity for me, as I unfortunately discovered WT-site 3.5 years too late !
But I don’t quarrel with too much – there’s still a lot of stuff left to go through !

Congratulations for completing your journey!! I feel very identified with what you did because my brother and other 11 young ecuadorians started on January this year a expedition called Yakuñan (in quechua, the route of the water). They are pedaling more than 8000 km from Quito in Ecuador to Iguazú Falls (Brazil/Argentina border) while raising awareness about the water as a natural resource at the towns and communities they visit.
