Day 1.193 – Faces of Manhattan
0 km on bike. Countless km walking the streets of Manhattan.
It’s a perfect, sunny day in New York. Clear sky, some 30 degrees C, and yet I’m boiling with excitement all day. Three hours of web research at home got me ready to explore lower Manhattan.
Come with me – it’s going to be a long day.
(Mouse on photo as usual…)
People do a lot of shopping in Manhattan. For my part, I limit myself to 3 pears for a buck in Chinatown, apart from lunch and drinks.

If anything takes up a special place in the chock-a-block crammed attic of my brain, it is being in New York, exploring the city at large, on foot. I absolutely LOVE this megalopolis. Nothing less than love.
New York is a city of contrasts. Like most big cities in the first, second, and third world. One minute you get this…
The same goes for me. One minute I’m eating a 4 USD Vietnamese sandwich in Chinatown…
…the next I’m drinking fine reds in a stunning Manhattan penthouse apartment…
